VIETNAM #182

By JN_CHATELAIN_PHOTOGRAPHY
Darahoa is a small village along Highway QL20 on the way to Da lat in the Central Highlands. I visited the village in 2008.

On my way to Da Lat, I wanted to stop once again and buy some nice woven material from a lovely weaver I met in 2008.

When wandering in the main street, I came across this little girl. You notice straight away she’s not as well dressed as the kids in the previous uploads. This village is poor and the people scratch a living from agriculture (flowers, vegetables, coffee…)

A wonderful and varied set of images, Jean-Noel. The little girl looks rather sad, but a very beautiful face. I love the flowers in V's 2 & 3, is that its fruit in V.4? Carol

Yes, these are the coffee cherries. They will be harvested, dried and roasted. The result will give you a lovely cup of coffee. The Central Highlands of Vietnam is a famous coffee growing and coffee making region.
