VIETNAM 2013 #161

By JN_CHATELAIN_PHOTOGRAPHY
The last views of the activities in the pagoda at the top of the Black lady Mountain showing the devotion of some people. Their fervour was almost palpable.

The village of Trang Bang is about 32 miles (52 km) from The Black Virgin Mountain. Those of you who were young adults in 1972, have not forgotten the the 9 year old little girl, running naked on a road in Vietnam with her skin burnt by napalm on June 8th of that year. I thought of her while in Nui Ba Den.

Kim Phuc Phan Thi survived and is living in Canada. She seems to be a remarkable woman. Here is a LINK

I remember that picture from 1972 and took advantage of your link Jean-Noel and it was good to know that her life has been one of forgiveness and that she also found happiness after her suffering. Your images of today's happenings are excellent.
