A few kilometres from Hualien, in the Taroko Gorge roughly half way between the North and South of Taiwan, there is a small village: Tienhsiang. All the buses stop there so it is easy to get there. It is quite crowded with Taiwanese tourists but the people soon scatter on the various trails.

In Tienhsiang, there is a Buddhist monastery, temple and pagoda. The monastery was founded by Lady Venerable Master Ti-Chiao.

This nun was at the entrance of the bridge leading to the monastery. She was sitting reading and meditating. As you walk past, you place an offering in her box. I asked her if I could take a photo and she very nicely obliged.

I hope you will like this new photo. And tell me what you think about it if you have time.

Im very chuffed with your appreciations on my previous up-loads. Thank you very much,

Have a lovely evening,
