Snail

By Joeblowfromoz
Thanks again everyone for your kind comments and support. Much appreciated.

Now for a complete change from landscapes today, we have this little snail. these little snails are about 1/2 inch big and they are in their thousands around the dry arid inland areas of Australia, and as you can see from this he has decimated the daisy he was on, and has eaten all the petals, and this is what they do to the wheat and other crops, and the farmers are just beside themselves to know how to deal with them - the poor old farmers, always have to deal with something

As for a name - that I have not been able to find out.

Have a great weekend everyone

Like Jenn {taggart} I note that the shell structure is quite different to the normal rounded forms we have here.
Very nicely captured in this shot, and I can imagine they must be a plague to the farmers if they exist those numbers.
Ronnie.

Nice to see this snal...You know, I talk about this kind of the snals sometimes..
When I was a child in Beijing, all the snals I saw were this kind of snails, but I have never seen one in England. I loved them carrying their little houses with them where ever they went...beautiful shot.
