  • ...And on to the scrapheap...

Cheers Tedoop; it is slightly cropped but not much...it came out that sharp as well. You should go, the experience of just seeing these machines swerve past you at blinding speeds is amazing.

Hand held, again. I know its not a great shot, but I was wondering how do you catch a shot of something small that moves around so quickly? Is it patience, with the camera aimed at one spot until an insect lands? Or how does one capture a dragonfly shot, as that's what I would like to do. I've ben mulling it over. Do you have to go out really early in the morning when insects are slow and cold?

  • Oh the summer!

Cheers Danny. Yeah I totally agree with you. I have printed this photo off and done exactly what you said. In PS I took out the hat and changed the colour of the trunks.

What a great shot! I love the way the colour of the mantis and plant stands out with the blurred background.

A great photo! I was wondering if I would get away with a ef 70-200mm +1.4 extender attached. Hope to get to Man City or Rochdale FC.

Its all action especially with the mud kicking up off the floor.

    Love it!

On the left is Swirrel's edge, and on the right is the school group I took up to the top.
I wasn't too sure where to put the picture as it is 2 shots stitched together. Hope this is OK. New to this internet lark.

Thanks Dewey, in actual fact I took it through the window pane with the lens virtually on the glass.
