My First Seal Photo!

By John Giddings
My first attempt at snapping 'Atlantic Grey Seals', or any other Seal. Taken on the Northscape Puffin and Castles Workshop (Keithh can arrange most things) hanging out of a small boat hand holding the 600 in a large swell.
This Pup seamed to sqeeze itself out of the 'Seal heap' to have a better look at the 'Funny Humans' trying to balance in a boat. I am not entirely sure what I would have said to the insurance company if I had dropped the Camera and Lens into the North Sea (or the wife for that matter) Just as well I dident I suppose although I have been know to test the boundry's before.
'Looks good Large'.

Thanks for looking!

Wonderful capture, I'm off to Alnwick for a break in a couple of weeks and hope to see some seals and puffins around the Farne Islands.

Nice colour on the seal

Great image. You're a braver man than me hanging your 600 over the edge, but well worth the effort (or madness) to get this image.

Beautiful image John. On that insurance note, I dropped my 100/400 with a Canon 1V attached in the peak district, still waiting a reply !......expensive. Ron.

He's got such a sweet face. Lovely shot.
Another great image with the 600, well worth the carrying of this lens John. Great seal image, you'd never have captured with any other lens.
