I was shooting wide open - F 5.6 at 400mm and the branches in the background were quite far back.

Hi Paul

Kruger is always brilliant - well worth a visit.

We went for the weekend - didn't see very much though. Big 5? Got some nice rhino shots - I'll post one later this week. We saw elephants, but after dark. Buffalo were in thick bush, so no great shots. We saw a leopard, also in quite thick riverine bush, grabbed a couple of shots, but not coffee table book stuff.

Kruger can be frustrating this way - you take pot luck on sightings, and seeing something is one thing - getting good photos quite another!
