Helen commented about me continuing my blog, despite low viewing figures. Since then I haven't posted Smile but only due to lack of time, not lack of interest.

I suppose that I'm carrying this on as a bit of a journal, with the idea of looking back some time later to see what I was up to and what was going through my mind at the time. Whether anyone else views it or not isn't really why I'm doing it.

I have this vision of the world in a couple of hundred years time being full of servers holding the endless drivel spouted by people like me many years earlier, rarely being looked at. It would be interesting to see what would have been written if this technology was around many years ago. This could be a valuable resource for those (like me) searching their family trees.

I'm hoping to spend the weekend catching up on those photos I took last weekend at Donington. I have managed to get a couple posted already, but be prepared for more...

Hope you all have a great weekend.

My husband is searching family trees, both his and mine! I often wish better records were kept in the distant past! When we visited SW Wales this year, we visited one of his forefathers villages and found the records office, they in turn pointed out the registry office and we found the death certificates of his 3x Great Grandfather & Grand Mother. We were quite chuffed!

So, Blog ahead - perhaps one day it'll be read by one of your 3x Great Grandchildren!!

Hi John
Glad you are plodding on regardless! And I'm reading it!!
This evening I have found how to link with a "feed" for the first time.........all this new technology. So now I can click the feed link and your thread here comes up next to my favourites when I go on line.I am still amazed at this!! For everyone else it might be an everyday way of using technology , but not for me.
I'm off to Bournville festival fireworks in about an hour or so. Cadbury's hosts a wonderful firework display every year at the festival. Want to try and see if I can get some good shots
Enjoy sorting your shots
