It's turning into a typical Monday at work - everyone depressed at the thought of another weekend consigned to the history books and too far away from the next one to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
For me, this week's light is provided by my forthcoming trip to Donington Park for the MotoGP. I may even have wangled a pit-pass. The company I work for (a large, Japanese-owned, global corporation) sponsors one of the teams and I've been cheeky enough to ask around until I found the right man to badger.
If he comes through with the business, I'll be rubbing shoulders with the pro's and showing off my recently-purchased 'L' glass to anyone unfortunate enough to glance in my direction.
As far as the rest of the day goes, I have a few things to deal with this afternoon before I rush off home and then straight out again. I'm off to see an oldish rock band by the name of Tesla. They're playing at JB's in Dudley. Never seen them before so I'm really looking forward to it, especially in such a small venue.
Hope everyone has a good day.
