This is such a terrific shot. I liked it as soon as I clicked on it. So much detail and I love the dof.
Just great.

Well processed and a delight to let the eyes wander around all of the detail in this image.

Looks a little bit "cramped" at the left edge of the shot and I'd ideally have liked to see a bit more of the steps just to frame the shot a little better.

Viewpoint is fine while I am thinking what the light would have been like early morn.
As said, just a bit more of the left.
Nevertheless I like it.

Quite like the result of this processing. Would be interesting to compare with one from a wide range of shots at the point of capture rather than breaking down a raw and re-assembling it.

There's a lot to look at here. I'm not sure why houses only get painted in colours like that when they're by the sea, but they make a fantastic background.

Many thanks for all the c&C.

I'm very interested in the feedback on composition, since I've a number of shots featuring these steps & was struggling to decide which was best compositionally. This may not be the last you see of them!

Re using separate shots, I do have three RAWs (& corresponding jpegs) taken 1 stop apart in less than 1 sec, but the movement of the water & boats still causes problems with registration. I have found that a single RAW provides surprisingly good results c.f. multi shot provided the contrasts are not too extreme.
