In the Fog

By JohnHorne
Taken during the dense fog we had just a few days before Christmas. It was quite odd walking round a familiar location but with most of it obscured from view. Here I set up the camera on a tripod with one tree reasonably clear and a second tree only just emerging from the gloom. In between you can just make out a man walking his dog.

Converted to mono and a blue tone applied.

I like the atmosphere to the image but composition could be improved by the rule of thirds , making less space on the left of the tree.

Very nice.

I think the tree is perfectly positioned.

Really like this- great atmosphere with the figure scaling things up.
Well done!

Thanks guys - I appreciate your comments.

Mike (Watson) - The trunk of the tree is pretty close to a third of the way into the picture - by my reckoning I would need to trim off only 10 pixels to ensure that it is bang on the third. Is that what you meant ?
