Woodland Storm

By JohnHorne
To me this looks like trees in stormy, other-world landscape.

Same basic treatment as yesterday's upload but toned with different colours.

Comments and critique welcome.

I really love this. It looks like a ghostly forest in an alien landscape. Nicely ambiguous and a suggestion of a moon. I think perhaps it's tide marks on sand, but I love how it can suggest a whole different idea.

Thanks for your comments.

K - yes, it is marks in the sand left by water running down the beach after the tide has receded.

Alfred - the original images have very low contrast. I used hisotogram adjustment to extend the tonal range and to expand the contrast. I then toned the result - in this case with a coloured layer consisting of blue, green and brown tones.

Love the effect and the image on the left just looks like a person.

How about putting a long haired blond in a long diaphanous dress where the right hand 'tree' is having given her the same treatment? Possibly easier said than done Smile
