Mosquito for lunch.

By johnke
I think the versions are self exoplanetary.

From my hard drive,

I noticed this Dragon fly flying off and landing in the same spot. I was on the shore of a Lake. When I realized what was happening I lay down in the prone position and pressed my shutter. The Dragon fly plucked these Mosquitos out of the air so fast I could hardly see it return to this mound, they are not the same Mosquito, just the same Dragon Fly

From around 260 million years ago is a Genus of mosquito named by JW Meigen in 1818 of the 460 species only around 30 to 40 transmit the Parsite Plasmodium this is the gene that can cause Malaria in Humans.

Good Morning to everyone,

Thank you for all your kind comments and your support and to Ted for the valued award.

Regards....John

And I always thought dragon flies were vegetarian. Well now I know better. Great close up images.
