Good capture.
An interesting capture showing local activities on this beach.
The picture appears a little dull, you don't show camera settings but it's maybe just a little under exposed due to the camera thinking the scene was brighter than it was due to the large area of sky. A little plus exposure compensation might have helped. It looks like a misty day which does not help.
In my mod I have flipped the image.
On the basis that the eye reads and views from left to right (at least in the western world and India) and the bigger man being the important subject that he should be positioned towards the left of the picture.
The net he is pulling also provides a good lead line in the activity area of the picture.
I've also made a few adjustments in PS, level to increase contrast, increased colour saturation a touch and sharpened a little and increased brightness.
Flipping images is ok unless there is writing or a well know place is pictured. Flipping may be noticed by someone local looking at your picture.
These are my ideas. I hope you get more views, suggestions and comments,

When posting in this gallery and asking for critique be sure to include your camera settings.

You've captured the action very well, John, and the fishermen and boats stand out well from the background.
The shapes being made by the netting, and the net lead-in on the right are nice features. I also like the way the men are both placed in front of the boats, strengthening their connection with them.
The part boat on the left doesn't add anything to the image and just acts as a distraction and, with the large expanse of sand bottom left, the image would benefit from a crop to that side. Such a crop helps to move the fishermen and boats out of the centre of the frame, too.
The sky is quite featureless, and so a crop to that would enhance the image, and the horizon could be set one third down on the vertical, using the rule of thirds as a guide.
In my modification, I did the crops suggested, adjusted levels and painted a bit more blue into the sky, then sharpened. I also cloned out what looks like a bit of rubbish on the right side in the sand. The net being dragged now leads us into the action, and the action takes place in the left two thirds. I didn't flip the image as Ian did, but do like that idea.

Interesting image. Wonder why you get the black top and bottom? Conditions look very low contrast with a bland sky but well composed. Might crop some of that sky, though.
