Barony A Frame and Hutch

By johnp
The A Frame (built in the 1950s) is all that remains of the Barony Colliery in East Ayrshire. The A Frame is the last of its kind in existence. It once stood over the pit shaft, supporting the winding gear. The "hutches" conveyed coal through the mine, to the surface.
