Silly Sunday......Time for School

There's nothing silly about that, it's a terrific photo.

OK Punk, Make My Day...... by johnriley1uk

OK Punk, Make My Day......

The swans are well fed and very used to being crowded by people. However, this youngster was being pulled away and I caught the moment just a split second before he was. Others were not being reined in and some were getting perilously close. Wild animals are exactly that - wild and unpredictable.

Garden Shed at Hidcote Manor Gardens, Glou. by bwlchmawr

Garden Shed at Hidcote Manor Gardens, Glou.

This looks like a great project. Garden sheds will all have their own fascination, places where random items accumulate and moulder undisturbed by the passage of time.

That's an attractive still life, with excellent tonal qualities.

Visible side of the soul 3 by jovanovic

Visible side of the soul 3

I increasingly like images where the subject is not just looking into the camera. There's more emotion in this. The only distraction is the bright area on the forehead and if this were to be toned down then we would just look at those poignant eyes.

That's really unusual and very attractive.

Oak on Oak by johnriley1uk

Oak on Oak

No, it's not your eyes Tish, check out which lens I used and you'll see it's the fisheye zoom. It's at its longest end, so the curvature is not so pronounced, but it's there.

Take a break by TanyaH

Take a break

The contrast of the black and white image is great, but I'm not so sure about the sudden loss of depth of field. It's almost as though the lorry is heading for some sort of barrier and it doesn't look right. Perhaps not the best subject for the technique?

Good Boy!

I rather like the slightly odd colour balance on this.

Basking in the Winter Sun by johnriley1uk

Basking in the Winter Sun

It doesn't seem to have the S-shaped beak of the Corn Bunting, although it's very close otherwise.

I like what you've seen here. IMHO cropping off the brickwork on the left gives a more graphic result that looks stronger.

I think they have more value than you might suppose, there are some very desirable classic cameras.

Harbour View by Sezz

Harbour View

Very impressive, with the two magic ingredients of great composition and great light. I don't think I've seen light as good as that in Conwy, so you were there at the right moment and took full advantage of it!

The Lads by abeeror2

The Lads

The Photoshop effect is very suitable and well executed, but the hand placement is very unfortunate. Turning the models more to one side will minimise the huge gap between the legs and asking them to hold their hands behind their backs will avoid them looking as though they are lining up for a penalty shot. Hope that helps!
