Yesterday it was female portraits, today it is male portraits. I found far fewer of these, although more than I expected, and it was interesting that they were a different style to the female ones. Very often, the images would be of someone doing something, as opposed to being an image of the person only. More environmental portraits. A hint of this was shown yesterday with such shots as "Liz and her weapon", which wasn't just a prop as she really does practice with weapons and is now a black belt.
Let's see what I found to show you:
John Dwyer, shot on Kodak High Speed Infrared film.
The Soldier. Digital shot using blue channel only.
Woodbine Soldier
Studio shot of Chris
Adam in "The Dissolution of Man"
Leebo
Kyle
The Old Soldier
So, do I shoot differently with male and female portraits? I'm thinking about the approach taken and how I portray people in pictures, so a bit of self-analysis might be a good idea from time to time. Hopefully it can only lead to improvement.
