With a couple of hours spare, we found ourselves in the vicinity of Biddulph Grange Gardens, a National Trust property. Along with the adjoining Biddulph Grange Country Park, this used to be a part of the Biddulph Grange Estate. The gardens were going to ruin, the house was a hospital, and then along came the National Trust and the day was saved. The hospital areas are now apartments, a small part of the house is used for entrance and cafe but the main event is the large, very interesting formal garden. It is full of surprises - walkways, tunnels, Chinese style buildings, miniature waterfalls, waterways, a lake.....add a warm afternoon and some time idled away with a bit a bit of photography and we have all the ingredients for a Pleasant Afternoon.
So that was the preamble, and now lets look at some of the images. I used the Pentax K-1 full frame DSLR with 28-105mm, 20-35mm and 43mm Pentax lenses.
