Even the simplest of subjects can look very different with just a slight change of viewpoint. Take for example this old lock on a gate at Arley Hall. My first thought for it was a 55mm Macro lens, actually a Vivitar manual focus lens, on full frame.
However, take instead a 12mm lens of APS-C ("35mm equivalent" of 18mm) and we need to go quite a bit closer and get whacked between the eyes with this alternative view.
So one simple subject can be shot in many different ways, and of course we can add to that the infinite variety of ways that the shots can be post-processed. It's worth stopping and spending some time with any subject, or perhaps revisiting it and seeing if we can look at it anew.
