Last night we made our way down to Lancashire Mining Museum, previously known as Astley Green Colliery Museum, for there firwork display and bonfire. We were there quite early, so no problem seeking out a very fine cheeseburger each, plus a carton of chips and a bottle of water. Very nice it was too. The we met up with the family and we all wandered down to see the bonfire lit. I don't know what it is about fires, but watching them start up and finally burst into full flame is fascinating and quite hypnotic. I was shooting images on a Nikon Z7 II with a 24-70mm lens this time, and when shooting at night the superb EVF does make life very easy. Generally ISO 3200, VR switched on, and almost all the images were sharp. I shot quite a few the same, as I said -click- watching fires -click- is quite hypnotic -click- so there are lots the same!
Here are some of my favourites:
Fully frozen, we made our way back home and then went to collect Grandaughter Beth from work. Finally back in at 1am, a good day all wrapped up nicely.
