A few blogs ago I was talking about my 45 year old Billingham bags needing a repair. Here's the progress report on how it all panned out.
The bags started by looking like this:
The first bag is made from the lightweight Nytex and the main zip had failed. The second bag is a Billingham Alice and the closures for the flap had given up with use.
Here's the timeline of the repair:
20th December 2022 - initial enquiry by e-mail, replied almost immediately and what needed to be done identified and quoted for. With Christmas just about to happen it was decided to send the bags for repair after New Year.
3rd January 2023 - Bags sent by DPD, receipt acjnowledged the next working day.
17th January 2023 - Bags ready, payment details received, payment sent by PayPal.
20th January 2023 - Bags received, beautifully packed with even two of Billingham's classy draw-string bags to house them.
