Competition Time: Creative

I found a folder containing a set of images that I used as my entry for a camera club (ADAPS of course) annual competition, so I thought we'd look at these a section at a time. Not necessarily one after another each day, but over a period of time.

Competitions can be approached many ways. Some want to win and accordingly aim their pictures at that objective. Some just want the pictures to have an airing, be seen and to get useful feedback from the judge. I feel that the getting the pictures out there to be viewed is my purpose in entering, but of course it is always nice to do well also.

The annual competiton has 7 sections, with 3 images per section allowed. The digital competition (there is an identically structured print one as well) requires the images to be no more than 1600px on the longest side and at one time we had a canvas size of 1600 x 1200 specified. So a vertical image needs a black fill around it, which is what you will see in many of the shots.

Creative is an odd section, what is creative? Is using a fish-eye lens in itself creative? Possibly not, but it all depends on how it's all done. Here are my three creative shots, and I'd be pleased to have any comments as to whether they speak "creative" to you or not.
