Me and my shadow, more commonly known as my Pentax MX-1, were in the city today. It was all excitement as the Manchester Urban Gardening Festival was getting under way. The BBC had their big silver bus and lots of people with very sturdy tripods and cameras. The National Trust was busy entertaining the kids. Harvey Nicholls has a butty van, very sensible too.
I hadn't been expecting much to be going on, so this festival took me completely by surprise. It's running from 2nd to 10th August, so today was its fourth day. I was there early so it was hardly under way, but I did shoot a few images:
I love that artificial grass settee!
