There was a time when we could vist Arley Hall and then take the "tractor taxi" up to Stockley Farm, part of the estate. This was a petting zoo and general resource, used quite a bit for school groups as an educational outing. It couldn't make ends meet unfortunately and closed at some point, and I'm not sure what the status of the site is now as we can't visit because of lockdown. However, the principle is there that these small farm zoos can actually be quite useful for photography, especially if we explore the wider area of their settings and don't just stay with the main areas where the kids feed the animals and that sort of event.
Here's a few pictures to illustrate the point, and some of them are quite cute it must be said. Next time we visit Arley Hall we must enquire about the farm and see if it has re-opened. Meanwhile......
Camera was the Pentax K-5 and the lens mainly the SMC Pentax-DA 18-135mm and 55-300mm.
