Manchester Museum was our destination today, armed with our Pentax MX-1 compacts as we took the opportunity to travel light. The museumdoes have some interesting exhibits, but I did find it a bit too untouchable. Almost everything was behind glass. This made photography tricky, but not impossible.
There was one odd thing. A group of children were herded through the Egyptian mummy room with teachers showing them how to use their hands like blinkers so they couldn't see anything unpleasant. Personally I found that rather silly, but I shall make no further comment on it. All the kids around did make for a very noisy visit, but the exhibits didn't mind, so neither did we.
Some images!
