Fun With The 07 Mount Shield Lens

Finding a lull between lens reviews, I thought it would be interesting to try out again the 07 Mount Shield lens for the Pentax Q system, probably the smallest interchangeable lent kit available. It is a fixed focus 11.5mm f/9 optic, with a sort of sharpish area at the centre, fading rapidly away towards the edges. A sort of miniature Lensbaby.....To make things different I also used the Antique Colour JPEG capture setting for most of the shots, plus the odd Bold Monochrome here and there. The Pentax Q-S1 used is a custom colour, a rather nice green, and has the larger 1/1.7" sensor with 12MP. This is capable of impressive A3 prints and really is a pleasure to use when we want to travel light. An entire kit of body plus several lenses weighs less than a K-1 with 28-105mm lens.

Here are some samples of images shot yesterday in the grounds of Arley Hall. We also paused for a pleasant lunch and on the way out replenished our stock of Peaky Blinders Gin....

Having been using my lenbaby more in recent times I found these pictures interesting. Works well on these subjects.
