Further Canon SX40HS Ruminations

I think I must be quite impressed because I've started looking dreamily at the Sony RX10 IV with its rather nice looking Zeiss lens......£1699......anyway, back to the Real World and the Canon actually does pretty well. It has a compact camera sized sensor, so there will always be that limitation, but as compact cameras go it is a super-charged one, with that amazing 35mm-equivalent 24-840mm lens.

So my ruminations continued today as we finally found out where Cutacre, our most local country park, was situated. We've barely dipped our toes in the water when it comes to Cutacre, but a short foray earlier today and a few images later this is what I came up with.

It was, as I said, a short linear walk to day, so first of all the images on the way out.

Continuing the look at yesterday's classic car show, I could have spent many more hours looking at these fine machines and chatting to their owners, plus of course collecting a huge set of images. Only one car that I would like to see again seemed to...

The highland cattle that Joan and i used to feed and monitor at Bickershaw were moved to Cutacre down Mort Lane i think ,never been but will do soon. The Sony you mention is some £1400.00 pounds more expensive than the little Canon you have it would have to be a super duper lens/camera to justify that ,
