It was a January early in the 21st Century and we had a wedding to shoot in a tiny Yorkshire village called Harome. The night before was disconcerting as we watched TV weather reports of thick snow descending on the area. Nonetheless, we set off early and eventually reached the Pickering area, a journey not without perils from the snow and ice. The worst moment was near Harome on a single track road leading into the village. A milk lorry decided to come the other way and we ended up backing down a road thick with snow, just hoping that we were guessing where the ditches were. Well, we got there, and we shot the wedding and we dug ourselves out and got back again, but that was one exciting day in more ways than one!
I also shot some images of the village that I've just had a second look at and reprocessed. I haven't used many of these before, and all the snow recently made me think once again of Harome, tucked away in a quiet corner of Yorkshire.
