Yes, Portmeirion, the place The Prisoner was filmed, along with almost every other UK production that needed an Italianate backdrop. But of course the village is constructed as an architectural playground and its vistas and perspectives have been carefully worked out. As a consequence, it is truly great for photography. We spent the day there and because we've been many times, we were always looking closer and closer for photographic ideas that we hadn't done before. Here's a few examples from the first look.
One little tip is to buy tickets online as you will save yourself a fair bit by doing so.
