Tonight I was judging a camera club competition, and achieved that by walking from one computer to another to Zoom into action. Does that beat driving 30 miles and back on a cold, wet night? Not really, but it does get the job done, even if it is a bit disconcerting to be talking to a camera rather than to people. It's the lack of audience response that is the most difficult thing I think, but it does get easier. Without Zoom most camera clubs would have simply closed up for the duration of Lockdown, so it has on balance been a good way to keep things going.
Tonight's images were actually a very high standard and I certainly enjoyed judging them, so it's also good to know that camera skills are being kept honed. We're all about ready to be let loose though, so like everyone else I'll be glad to get back to normal. That is, if we can all remember what normal is.......
It was a good evening, so I'll finish today with a few of my own competition entries.
