I like my Venus Fly Trap and it's been doing quite well this year. So far it must have had almost 10 flies and other assorted insects, probably helped by the green bin only being collected every two weeks. It's part of the offensive against flies, along with an electronic killer and Binsect bin insecticide strips. But now, in an attempt to make it bigger and healthier, it has its own self-watering pot, made by Lechuza, with an indicator system to tell me when it needs refilling. From now on it's also rainwater only, which helps the Trap as it enjoys acidic conditions.
