No Raindrops Falling on my WG-3

A new waterproof camera, a trip into Manchester, but not one drop of water to put it through its paces. So instead I took the Pentax WG-3 for a walk in a new direction, along the back streets of the city to the Art Gallery and back to St Ann's Square. Nobody took any notice of the bright orange camera, and to be honest it's no stranger than tourists holding up iPads to take photos, probably a lot less strange. Nobody looks twice when we use a compact camera.

So I found a few architectural items of interest, plus a couple of girls intensely studying their DSLR.

There's no doubt that being in the city centre so often does make it more and more difficult to find new places, but it could be kept going for a while yet!

Historic Tyldesley - The Technical College

There is a road sign that says "Welcome to Historic Tyldesley" or something similar, and for a while we scratched our heads wondering what excatly was historic about Tyldesley. Well, slap on the hand for us, because there are plenty of things that w...

Buile Hill Greenhouse - Progress Report

We were down at Buile Hill Park in Salford today, just to see how the mansion and the Greenhouse were getting along. The mansion is under restoration at the moment, but the greenhouse was set to be demolished. This was such a wonderful place, with bi...

Always Carry a Camera

I make a point of always carrying a camera, just to capture anything and everything that catches my eye as we carry on with the minutiae of life. I was in Atherton and just heading for the shop that sells fuses and passed a small alleyway that used t...
