Sometimes one picture is the perfect thing, capturing that single moment in time and giving us that warm Cartier-Bresson feeling. But sometimes one is just not enough and a sequence of pictures can add to the message, giving us a progression and a feeling of movement and development, but in a series of single moments. A video would just give us a moving picture, and I am thinking here of something quite different - a set of perfect moments, the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
Here are some short sequences to see how that pans out in practice.
I have seen camera club competitions where connected sequences have been presented as a number of images on one backing board, in fact I've judged a few over the years, but I haven't seen this explored for a while. It could be done as a simple sequence in a Zoom meeting as well, so perhaps that's something we might do in the coming weeks in our ADAPS Zoom events.
