Apart from a terrible temptation to call it Munster Castle, Muncaster is a gorgeous house in extensive grounds. There are woodlands to explore and as a bonus around 4pm dozens of herons descend on the trees around the main building. When we visited the first time it was an ADAPS outing and quite a few of us gathered:
Don't we look cute? On this particular visit we had a special arrangement and from 10am-12noon we had access to the castle interior and the ability to use tripods. When the castle opened, the tripods went away, and this is the usual arrangement we have. It's high time we went again, but until we do our exisiting images will have to serve to remind us. Pictures were shot on the Pentax K20D, so it was a while ago, but it served well.
