PortSunlight lies on the south bank of the River Mersey, near Bebington on the Wirral. It was built by Lord Lever to house the workers at the Sunlight soap factory and was one of the first custom built villages that had the comfort and health of the workers right at the front of the thinking. It is a delightful garden village, fanous for its green spaces, it's fantastic architecture and of course the Lady Lever art gallery. We went there when I was acting as an ambassador for the Ricoh GR and all today's pictures are in fact shot with the GR, a 16MP compact camera with a fixed 18.3mm (28mm equivalent) lens.
If you go, don't forget the picnic as there are plenty of open green spaces to enjoy it.
Here's a sample of the pictures we shot.
Port Sunlight is yet another place on our list of locations to re-visit.
