Today's trip was to Martin Mere, along with my Mum and my Mum-in-Law. Being with non-photographers means opportunities are reduced, so I decided to also reduce the bulk and take just the Pentax Q kit. One tiny bag holds the lot and it really is no burden at all. For the images I had the 15-45mm f/2.8 lens attached, and used ISO values from 200-800 as necessary. There were reptiles, raptors and sundry other animals on display, so shooting varied from dim indoor lighting to bright sunlight.
First, a few images:
I think there is plenty of quality there, remarkable for such a tiny sensor. It has clinched my decision making process and I will be ordering a new Pentax Q-S1. With its bigger sensor I would hope for even better quality, on a par with the excellent MX-1. That will suffice for a lot of general photography, particularly when it's difficult to cart around the DSLR kit.
