Spinning, Sweeping and Swirling

ICM is our upcoming theme for ADAPS this week, and I have been searching my images for examples of Intentional Camera Movement. It seems I very rarely use this technique, and in fact use the reverse of it (Intentional Subject Movement) rather more often. Sue said it's an excuse for what is really camera shake, but I'm sure she doesn't really think that!

This is what I found:

Spinning Duck, 2006

I will continue my search between 2012 and 2021, but I'm not holding my breath!

Cardiff, Centre of the Universe

Still on the theme of Doctor Who, Cardiff looks very much like it is indeed the centre of the universe. Temporal Rifts, Torchwood, Aliens of every description, these are to be seen on the streets of Cardiff. In 2017 Me, Sue, her late brother Mark and...

So, we meet again, Doc-tor....

There I am, an unsuspecting 12-year-old, waiting for a new Saturday evening serial about an old man who travels in time. Twenty-five minutes later, there I am totally wowed by the most exciting bit of new TV I had ever seen. Yes, the first episode of...

The Amazing Dalbeattie Museum Trust

This is a small but packed museum in Dalbeattie, Dumfries and Galloway. It covers a couple of floors in a corner shop location and is packed with artefacts, the bad news for us being that many of them are things that we have owned or used as youngste...

Golden Slumbers

There's an exhibitions of Egypt's Golden Mummies at Manchester Museum, and we went down to see it this afternoon. I travelled very light this time, in the end using just the Pentax MX-1 compact camera. The conditions were very dark and the exhibits l...
