Every year we sign up for a Season Ticket at Arley Hall and Gardens. It's well worth it for me as I routinely go there to shoot a variety of sample images for lens and camera reviews. The renewal date was 31st March, so we went down today to renew. Arley is a relatively small area with quite a few varied types of buildings, landscapes, gardens, garden features and so on, so plenty to shoot. Today has been a renewal of familiarity as well, looking to see if yet more angles can be found within the location. A few sample shots are in this blog, using the Pentax K-3II with SMC Pentax-DA 18-135mm WR lens, mounted on a monopod. Actually it was Sue's monopod, which she kept reminding me of, and she was using her new Acebil tripod. We bought the monopod first at TPS and then saw the Acebil tripod, which has a detachable monopod leg. They offered to discount by the cost of the monopod we had already bought, so that clinched the deal. It was a great day, warm, sunny and we felt uber-relaxed.....and a nice spot of lunch as well in the Gardener's Kitchen.
