We see it at Hawoth, we see it at Whitby, we see it at home sometimes, people just love dressing up. Every now and again ADAPS as a club goes to a location and we get models and sometimes members to put on their fancy dresses and fancy suits and go Victorian and Edwardian or whatever else takes their fancy. An ideal backdrop is the top floor of Damhouse in Astley, which has remained more or less untouched since Victorian times. There is even an old schoolroom up there, just mouldering away and almost untouched by the passage of time.
So today I thought I'd have a look at one of our Damhouse shoots, mostly in the top floor but also in the grounds as the sun dipped towards the Astley horizon. Cameras were my usual Pentaxes and all my shots were using available light. The light up there is fantastic, so no need to try to augment it with flash.
