So I was strolling along, looking for images, and suddenly to my left I spotted a huge display of Fine Fungi, looking as though they were straight out of some children's fantasy book. The classic Fly Agaric, also known as Amanita Muscaria. This sort of random find is exactly why the Pentax MX-1 is always in my pocket. I've said it before, but modern compact cameras are superb for close up work, so this situation was ideal. It was less than ideal for kneeling on the wet grass, it has to be done, but then for the rest of the morning I had two disgracefully obvious damp patches on my knees. I suppose everyone would just assume I was a photographer.....
