Bank Holiday Monday. Does the sun ever shine? Not today anyway. I loaded up the Pentax K-3 II with SMC Pentax-DA 18-135mm WR lens into my trusty Billingham Alice bag. Alice has been one of my favourite companions for a very long time and she travels with me whenever I feel Hadley has put on too much weight. Sue commented that we always seem to go out when it's raining and stay in when it's sunny. If that's what we do we need to re-examine the way we arrange our schedules.
Today we were headed for Heskin Hall, near Chorley, and although we started off in reasonable if damp weather, by the time we were looking at the stalls it was turning to torrential rain. Still, it's only water and we will dry out eventually. Photographically, I managed to explore a bit of undergrowth and that was about it. However, it must be said that rain brings out some brilliant colours and I love the dark green that foliage takes on in certain light and especially when indundated by water.
So here are some images from today, mostly greenery but also the one stall that stood out from the rest like a beacon, being the most fantastic fluorescent orange. The only drawback was that the colour of the goods could not be judged because of the overwhelming orange light.
