It's great to stumble upon something that inspires the Inner Photographer and such a place is Cressing Temple Barns in Essex. Great barns from the times of the Templar Knights that show a fascinating style of architecture in wood. Fantastic, plus all the other buildings on the site as well. Entry is free, although we always leave a donation, and it's definitely worth a couple of hours to shoot images or just to explore. A thoughtful viewing platform enables us to get right up into the roof space, and no doubt it is also a great vantage point for wedding photographers.
Kit used here was the Pentax K-3 II with 10-17mm Fisheye Zoom and the 28-105mm zoom, plus the 43mm f/1.9 Limited in the darkest corners. Some corners were very dark indeed and the use of ISO settings up to ISO 25,600 saved the day with rather impessively low noise.
