We visited Witley Court on our way back from Bristol - always loved this burnt out shell, what a tragedy that such a fine building was taken by fire. It's remarkable to see the patches of plasterwork and woodwork that have survived that 1937 fire, but for this set of pictures I'm concentrating on the underground areas that can be spied through gratings and the outbuildings that adjoin the Chapel. The Chapel survived, which is quite remarkable in itself.
Shooting with the Pentax K-3 II and looking into pitch blackness, an ISO of 6400 was chosen and an aperture around f/5.6. So, technically the pictures will not be the finest, but in the darkest corners they reveal what could not be seen with the naked eye.
