Wildlife in Plastic

We were at WWT Martin Mere yesterday, looking for some wildlife images for an upcoming lens review. We got the shots, but the birds were pretty conspicuous by their absence. I was going to say very thin on the ground, but very thin in the air as well. However, there were plenty of Lego creatures about! Somebody has been working very hard, as these models, standing as they do maybe three feet high, comprise thousands of Lego bricks each. I didn't photograph them all, but I did photograph the ones I particularly liked, so here they are, and a good excuse to go down to the Mere to have a look at them.

Just as we made our way towards the Mereside Cafe we found one last interloper, not in Lego this time but equally plastic.

I have seen the Lego models, infact the same ones in your pictures. They were at WWT Washington last year, very creative
