Back in the day, when we were very young and film cameras had wind on levers, the blank shots that we made when loading 35mm film would produce some interesting abstract shapes. Thus whenever I would enter anything abstract for a club competition, our President would helpfully declare out loud, "It's a wind on shot!" This tended to discourage judges from making any positive comments.
Of course we don't get wind on shots with digital cameras, but I have now discovered that with super-sensitive mirrorless cameras we just might be able to after all. I was out and about today with such a mirrorless beast (no names...) and because I don't use a strap but carry the camera, often switched on, in my right hand ready to shoot, sometimes the shutter button gets nudged and voila! Art is created for all to behold.
So here are my two masterpieces from today, available mounted as prints at a huge price yet to be decided and also available for the Tate Gallery should they wish them. I think I might be on to something.....
