Firstly, a big thankyou to Paul (Skeet1Away) for his User Award on my Harp Shell.

I had a great idea. Place the triton on the wet sand and get some natural looking pictures. Then an unexpected wave came in and I thought, that's nice and natural. Then another wave came in, a bigger one, and I nearly lost it out to sea Sad !
I was concentrating so hard at getting the picture, I was taken by surprise.
The 3 versions show the sequence.

Pamela.

The water works very well, but I particularly like the diagonal that the water has created in the sand in v1 SmileSmile
Another splendid capture with one of your shells Pamela

V2 - somehow it's caught between the two possibilities, it seems to be recoiling in the blast of cold water.

That can happen. Small waves and then suddenly a big one. I've gotten wet feet many times. And you almost lost your shell. A great set and V2 is my favourite.

An excellent idea to photograph it in a faux natural environment, I particularly like v2 where it is being lapped by the incoming tide
