As we explore the UK we accumulate "special places" - although, with all the best intentions to return, we rarely go back. Crail has been visited by my family since the 1930s, so we might claim that as a collective we have returned to Crail many times. Sue and I have been once, when we took my mum on a tour of her youth, and Crail is certainly a very special and delightful coastal town. Our car is the grey Zafira near the centre of the picture, allowed access thanks to my mum's blue badge.

Crail is a favourite of ours as well. We are only 15 miles, as the crow flies (over the Firth of Forth) but 80 mile by road. It is delightful going down the steep road to the harbour, but very photogenic with the many white-washed houses.

A fine shot of this charming wee village harbour, John. We were nearly there a couple of years ago, and would have been a 2nd time for me. Thought to get back to completing our run along the Fife coast this year, having gone as far as Pittenweem before - ah well - plans o' mice and plans o' men. 😎
