Days of Yore

We hear a lot about Days of Yore, and I think this picture is probably showing something from those far off times. This is Bolton Abbey, which isn't in Bolton of course, any more than Leeds Castle is in Leeds. It's a funny old world indeed. But, no social diastancing here as masses of people enjoy the shallow river and the stepping stones. It is said that the British like queueing and this must be one of the ultimate willing queues.

I saw a man stepping over these with a large Labrador when we visited here...they got half way across and the dog refused to ahead or back. The man had to lift the dog and carry him the rest of they way...he did look heavy 😂😂😂😂

Great image, I remember often playing here as a child many many years ago, you never had to wait to cross then.
