Loch Doon

By johnriley1uk
A long, long road leads to Loch Doon and most of the way it was gorgeous in the warm sun. When we arrived at Doon Castle it was much greyer. This picture shows the remote emptiness, with but the occasional car passing along the narrow road. Doon Castle isn't much to see, removed from its island in the middle of the lock to the side and rather sad.

I like the way you composed this with the road leading the eye into the landscape.

A nice quiet Highland road, I assume with passing places. The road is nicely positioned in the frame, to lead you in towards the Loch.
