@mac The bronze casting is a replica of the crane device that enabled loads to be moved from the underground canal boats. Not sure of the detials, but in my image just behind the casting you can see one of the entrances to the 46 miles of underground canals. They were mining coal. There are pictures on Google showing the original state of this area, which has been fairly recently renovated.
